The main goal of the European Language Resource Coordination (ELRC) is to overcome one of the biggest/most difficult challenges that European and national public services are facing today in their interaction with both citizens and other organisations: the exchange of information across language barriers. This goal is achieved through the identification and collection of language resources, which are needed to better adapt eTranslation to the needs of national administrations and public services. However, several obstacles exist that hinder the free sharing of relevant language data in a sustainable way in Europe.
